The two technology devices that I used for my everyday at my workplace and even at my own home are computer and technology. I think that I do not want to live without these two technological devices because it helps me a lot of type to make things easier especially through communications, running errands, shopping and other activities that most people are taking advantage with the use of technology nowadays. For example, in my workplace I used the internet and computer everyday for my office database system and assisting the customers for their needs. I work at the college library as a reference librarian and most of the time I deal with students and instructor’s academic research needs about information for their papers. So I helped most of the time finding their sources on the computer through the use of the internet which is one of the fastest of information that most people used nowadays in school, businesses, government and other type of environment.

As of nowadays I still see the improvement that have provided from technology such as the introducing of new technology tools and devices that will help out to improve and enhance the world of opportunities and communication. According to Carlson, “at the beginning of the twenty-first century, we still see the rapid change in the technology and in the performance of technology. Computers and other knowledge management devices manipulate and store more data faster. Communication of data, voice, and video is almost anytime, anywhere”. From this week reading materials I have learned that there are different types or forms of technology and there own used in different settings. According to the article by Carlson, “discussions about technology are often linked to recent innovations, such as biotechnology, information and communication technology, and nanotechnology. The implications of these technologies from a governance perspective are extensive and still emerging”.
